Hurricane Lowell Emergency Member Relief Program

Gather Federal Credit Union is here to support our members as Kauaʻi continues to recover from Hurricane Lowell.

We understand that the storm has created unexpected expenses, property damage, and financial challenges for many of our members and their families. To help provide financial flexibility during this time, Gather FCU is offering an Emergency Member Relief Program with the following options for qualifying members.

Emergency Relief Options:


Emergency Assistance Loans

Access emergency financing of up to $5,000, with no payments required for the first three months and no prepayment penalty for qualifying members.

 

Loan Payment Deferrals

Eligible consumer loan payments may be deferred for one to three months. Interest will continue to accrue during the deferral period, and the loan term will be extended, resulting in a final balloon payment.

Deferral options for mortgages, home equity lines of credit, and revolving credit may vary. Please contact Gather FCU for additional details and eligibility requirements.

 

Penalty-Free Share Certificate Withdrawals

Gather FCU is waiving early withdrawal penalties for members who need to withdraw funds from existing Share Certificates to help cover eligible emergency expenses.
