Good Habits Start Early

No matter their age, Gather offers savings accounts designed to help our keiki on Kaua‘i begin their credit union journey. Each account is easy to open with just $6, includes online access, and earns quarterly dividends.

As they grow, members gain access to additional tools like our nationwide ATM network and debit cards—giving them more independence while continuing to build smart financial habits.

  

Building Blocks (Ages 10 & Under)

Gather’s Building Blocks account is a simple way to start strong saving habits early. Designed for our youngest members, this account makes it easy for kids to learn the value of saving—one deposit at a time.

To keep things fun and encouraging, young savers receive a free gift with every $10 deposit, helping turn small steps into lasting habits.

  

Smart Savers (Ages 11–17)

As kids grow, so do their financial needs. Our Smart Savers program is designed to give teens more independence while still keeping things safe and manageable.

Youth can open a Share Savings account and a checking account, giving them the tools to save, spend, and manage money in one place. They’ll also have access to our no-fee ATM network and a debit card that can be used nationwide.

Built-in parental controls through our Card Control Companion App give families added peace of mind, making it easy to manage debit cards, set limits, and quickly turn cards off if misplaced.

It’s all about building smart money habits, learning how to manage everyday spending, and gaining real-world experience with finances.

 

Youth Member Referral Rewards

Refer a friend to a youth account and earn cash. If someone you refer signs up for a Gather account, we'll add credit to your Share Savings account.

 

Additional Services

Bank Bus

Our youth savings program, Bank Bus, helps young members build real-life saving habits. The Gather Bank Bus regularly visits local elementary schools to help students learn about savings basics and make deposits to their Share Savings accounts.
